Hello everyone so if you follow me on twitter you have heard me mention that I have been eager to start making and selling some mineral eyeshadows. I did both the loose pigments and pressed versions of those pigments.Over the weekend a friend was having a birthday and as one of her gifts I decided to make her an eyeshadow palette and also give her the loose pigment version of what I had pressed for her. Please bare in mind I am no professional by any means and it is an idea that I am trying to work with .
My 1st Mineral Eyeshadow Product/ Gift
Here is the Front Cover of her Palette made by Yours Truly!
I wanted to be creative with the name and Love what I came up with.
Here is the Inside of her Palette that holds 9 Eyeshadow Pans.
I mixed and pressed them all myself into each pan. Super time consuming but worth the end result!
I also labeled the back of the palette so that she knows the color corresponding to whichever pan.
Here I decided to put the loose pigment in a 5g jar with a sifter and Shrink wrapped it to make it look more professional.
Here they all are!
I added an extra goody ha ha
Here I just put all of them in a box and wrapped her palette so she had another little present to open !
Closed Box and ready to be gifted!
So to sum it all up I had a great time working and making all of these. It is very time consuming if you are as OCD as I am about making sure everything is perfect. This is a great idea for all girlfriends. Its more personal and you are only limited by your own imagination. She really appreciated it and liked the colors I made. You can customize it to your own liking or if you know what colors that person would most likely wear you can go with that idea as well.
As for me putting this into production I am working out a few details on how to go about doing so effectively. There are so many people out there selling mineral makeup that it just seems a little intimidating for me to put a product out there. I need to consider the amount of time, materials, shipping, etc you can imagine the rest. I also never want to lose sight of why I enjoy doing this. Once something becomes work it no longer is fun at times. So I hope you all enjoy this and cant wait to make more of these.
** Please leave me any feedback with any advice you may have on how I can improve this or any advice is truly appreciated. I was so consumed with getting this done that I forgot to Swatch everything for you all :-( **

OMG Cathy! That is so amazing, girlie!! You did such a fantastic job. I wish I was that friend! LOL. The packaging is super sweet and the names are cute. I'm a total sucker for packaging! I think you did a fabulous job and I think you have so much potential. You have a future in this. But like you said, when it becomes work, it is no longer fun and then, what's the point. I'm so happy for you and so proud of you. I wish you nothing but success. And please remember, if there is anything that I can do to help you out, let me know, doll. PERFECTION! XXOO.
