Hello my lovlies! I hope you all you are all doing well on this Sunday. We all get an extra hour sleep and well who doesn't love that right? For those of us that are in the NY/NJ area I can only hope that you are all safe and sound and are getting the much needed help that you deserve after Hurricane Sandy. The craziness with gas shortage and businesses being shut down to to damages is almost surreal. We never realize how much we take for granted on a daily basis until we lose it. Something as simple as power and electricity that keeps homes warm and foods preserved.
Our jersey shore is just devastating to look at and can only hope that we will all unite in this time of need and remember that we are all family and should help one another. Something as simple as water, blankets can make the world of a difference to some. Random acts of kindness will get you very far and most certainly can make anyone's day.
Now for my monthly faves!
Runs for $18 and is great for those of us that may have some discoloration on our lids. I have an assortment of eyeshadow primers in my "beauty cabinet" and this past month I rotated some items to show some TLC to some that had been neglected. So glad that I reached for this again. My eyeshadow lasts all day and gives me the even base on my lid if the tone is a bit un even.
You can also find this at Sephora, Ulta, or any benefit beauty counter for about $16. I love the little boxes of the blushes so was so excited when they came out with the glosses to match them. I never had the dallas blush but after swatching it just didnt work to well with my skin tone for some reason. I love the gloss because it gives my lips a bit of a warm nude shade and isnt too sticky or nasty on the lips.
You can find Guerlain items at Sephora, Nordstrom, Saks 5th Avenue etc. This luxury lippy goes for $48. I dont have many Guerlain items in my collection because lets be honest some of our beauty wants are a bit pricey and hard to justify spending so much.
Being a contributor for This That Beauty enables me to try some item that I otherwise wouldnt be able to and review and share my opinion about. They are an amazing set of beauty girls that spoil the girls on the team rotten. I love being a part of it and am enjoying this little blogging adventure every chance I get
Has to be one of the heaviest and luxurious lipsticks I own!
Nice and Heavy!
Internally squealed a bit when the gorgeous Christene showed this to me! I couldnt get over how awesome the mirror and the packaging was on this.
Definitely something to put in your clutch for a night out on the town. You will feel instantly glamourous as you pop this bad boy out of your purse and begin applying wherever you may be. A handy mirror to help on the go, what more could you ask for?!
The shade is very wearable and soft on the lips. Has a bit of a frostiness to it but isnt too overpowering. I feel it gives just the perfect hue of pink onto the lips.
Milani Illuminating Face Powder
This powder sells for $8.99 in most drugstores and is a gorgeous highlighting powder. I have been using it very often over my cheek bones and cupids bow. Isnt too shimmery and once you swirl your brush into all of the colors you get a great variety of different shades to highlight with.
Can be found at ULTA and even some beauty supply stores like Harmons or Face Values for $8.99. I actually picked these up at Ulta when they were having a sale and was BOGO 50% off. It is perfect for foundation and love how flawless it leaves my face. Isnt too big or too small and very soft!
This brush can be purchased separately for $12.95 or comes also in the
Vortex Collection. I love this brush for applying my blush. It is the perfect size and is very soft. It is great for contouring as well but I prefer to use it for blush in particular. It is the only 1 I have and I must change that asap!
You can find this at your local drugstores, Ulta etc. This goes for $9.99 and is hands down my absolute most favorite gel liner at the moment. I have had my share of gel liners and they usually dry up , crack and just dont have a long shelf life. I have tried liquid and pencil liners for winging out my liner and just like the control and wear I get with gel. This is more of a laquer and goes on soooo smoothly and wears very well. I have had this jar for a couple of months and no signs of dryness or cracking. I must get other shades!
is a staple in my skin care now a days. I have a problem with large pores and well I dont think its ever too early to begin worrying about fine lines and wrinkles as a woman lol. You can find this at Sephora or on the Murad site for around $49.50. This was also an item from the awesome gals of This That Beauty. Skincare is absolutely crucial in the beauty world. No amount of makeup is gonna cover up the bumps, scars, and other imperfections you may have like staying hydrated and taking care of your skin can!
I picked this up a while back in the Meat Packing District of NY for around $15. Thought it was the cutest little makeup palette on the go or even as a stocking stuffer. Love the Artwork on the packaging to!
I have been playing around with this quite a bit and love the blush and shadows!
Hope you guys enjoyed my monthly faves and promise to get back on track with posts etc. I hope you all stay safe and are excited about the holidays approaching! I know I am!
XOXOXOX
OMG!!! Love the products that you have picked. It is indeed great picks. I was so amazed with the lippie. The packaging is so extraordinary. I also like the illuminating face powder. I like the shade for it looks light and natural.
