Julie G Nail Polish Line

Hello my gorgeous dolls. Today I will be introducing the Julie G nail polish line manufactured by Jesse's Girl Cosmetics. Now she is an awesome You tube guru that I have followed since I can remember. I also have some of the other polishes that she did with Jesse's girl some time ago. The difference is that this is her own line!

There are a total of 27 shades in this collection. Be sure to follow Jesse's Girl Cosmetics via Facebook to take advantage of the awesome 15% off coupon code that is to be added at the end of your total.

They are $3.99 each which is super affordable and worth every penny in my opinion.

This collection will be carried at RiteAid if it hasn't already made an appearance.

Some of the shades that I picked:

 Left to Right:
            9 to 5**My Horoscope Says...**Mermaid's Tale
**Chic Cipro

Elegant Edge ** Julie's Fave ** Gelato in Venice

Pink Tiara ** Fierce & Fab ** OH EM GEE ** Dream in Pretty

Elegant Edge

Gelato in Venice

Pink Tiara

Fierce & Fab ( Matte Finish)

OH EM GEE

Dream in Pretty

I absolutely love these polishes. They all go on very opaque even with one coat. With the exception of 9 to 5 that takes 2 coats but it is still so gorgeous. I tried to pick colors that I did not have similar in my collection and that otherwise I would normally not try. It was so hard to pick just these because I wanted them all and may pick up a few others I wanted  soon.

PMD PERSONAL MICRODERM

Hi my beauties I know it has been a while but man it has been such a roller coaster the month of March. So much has been going on behind the scenes here , but needless to say I am back and with an awesome product to review for you guys.

I was recently given the opportunity to try the Personal MicroDerm machine . Now I had hear  about this amazing little gadget through of course you tube and had seen that DulceCandy, JLovesMac, and Andrea from Andreas Choice had reviewed it as well.I love these beauty gurus so I was so excited to try this myself and see how great it worked.

Here is a brief description directly from the site:

Wish you had the time and money for professional microdermabrasion treatments? With PMD you can fulfill that dream without overspending or leaving the comfort of your own home. This hand-held tool gives you the results of a professional microdermabrasion treatment and reveals younger looking skin by using the same aluminum oxide crystals found in the equipment at your doctor's office. PMD Personal Microderm was created to give consumers an effective microdermabrasion system without having to schedule an appointment at the dermatologist. You'll get the same radiant results without having to spend a fortune.

Price
$179.99 for PMD Device

$14.99 for Replacement Discs

Where to Buy:
PersonalMicroderm.com

** Notice Here how the model is holding the skin taught, this is the way we want to use the device **

I can not stress enough the importance of actually watching the instructional video provided!!

This system is crucial to my skin care routine now a days. I have never had seriously problematic skin, but I do have my days where I get a few rough patches, minor break outs and redness from all of the blog work I am doing and just daily stresses.

Step 1:

Begin by washing your face as you would normally in your facial routine.

Make sure to pat dry completely, no lotions or potions at this point. The PMD works best with the skin being dry.

Plug in the device .

Step 2

Choose your disc. Green for more rough skin, Blue for more delicate and sensitive skin.

Stretch the skin taught and with the other hand gently glide the device over the skin.

** Remember to avoid the under eye and below the brow area!!. The skin in this region is extremely sensitive and we do not want to go over that area!**

** Do not Hover over one spot for too long. You will notice markings on the skin if you stay in one spot for too long and will develop a scab etc. Remember glide like when vacuuming your car**

Step 3

Glide the PMD gently over the skin surface. We want to use the small disc for the face and the larger disc for the body.

Be sure to test the device on a small area of the skin first to make sure not to have an adverse reaction or irritation.

Step 4

After you are done be sure to rinse the skin of any dead skin cells . Using a toner will help restore the PH balance of the
skin . Your skin will feel so soft and rejuvenated instantly.

Step 5

Clean and take care of the device. Be sure to remove the little black filter on the inside and rinse under water to remove any debris. We want to do this for the clear cover as well.

This has made a great difference in the way my foundation applies. Feels so much smoother. It has been great with my skin care items as well. When there is dead skin cells sitting at the surface of the skin, the lotions and serums cant work effectively to penetrate your skin. By using the PMD you will be removing those dead skin cells and leaves the skin perfect for any skin care item you are trying to use.

Dr. Brandt Glow

Hello my lovelies I feel like it has been forever since I done a post for you all. For you that follow me on Twitter probably know that I have been going through a bit of a rough patch. I am trying to get better myself and well decided I just had to try my best to sneak in a few posts this week.

I recently had mad a trip to my local Sephora to return a few foundations I just was very unhappy with. The foundations were Nars Sheer Glow and Makeup Forever Mat Velvet +. I just did not like the way they applied to my skin and left me very dry and cakey. With the Credit I had for those 2 items it was enough to put towards a skin care item I had my eye in for quite some time.

I have been trying not to use makeup every single day. I have never had seriously problematic skin thank fully. My challenges were always an Oily T Zone and massive pores. I had Tweeted some of my readers to see what their skin care routines were and was debating on trying the Lancome Vissionaire or the Dr. Brandt Line.

I can always rely on my twitteristas to help me with any beauty questions and to my surprise Dr. Brandt replied to my tweets too!

So off I went and grabbed this amazing set. I did get to test it on my hand in the store and can I tell you on the one spot where I had applied it felt so smooth and soft after. I keep touching my hand and couldn't get over how silky it felt.

Description by Sephora

Retail $65

I have been using this duo for a little over 3 weeks and my skin feels rejuvenated and soft. Since I don't have huge problems with my skin but have noticed I have less redness on my cheeks and a little more "Glowy" at times.

After reading everything thoroughly I made sure to apply everything just as directed. I read that with the Overnight Resurfacing Serum that it was suitable for nightly use, but if you experienced discomfort to limit 3x per week. It is also important with anything to use SPF daily especially when using these items and avoid excess sun exposure. I personally have no issues using it daily and have extremely sensitive skin.

The Ruby Crystal Retionol Hydracreme has a bit of an iridescence to it.Kinda reminds me of the L'Oreal Lumi products. Very subtle but can see where the glow comes from and it isn't overpowering at all.

I am very impressed with this skin care line and planning to hopefully in the near future try other products from the line. I definitely need to try :

I highly recommend trying this skin care line . It will be one of the best investments you can make for your skins health. No amount of makeup will matter if all you are covering up is problematic skin!

Maybelline 24HR Tattoo Eyeshadow's

Hi everyone so I recently over the past few weeks have been picking up some of the new Maybelline 24 hr  Cream Gel Eyeshadows. These are much different than the L'Oreal Infallible shadows in the sense that these are a cream and the Infallible shadows are a wet pigment.

Where to Find:
Bed Bath and Beyond, Harmons, Riteaid, CVS, Walgreens.

Price:
Varies on location but between $6-7 dollars

Consistency:
It feels very much like a Mac Paint Pot and dense and thick. Cream like texture

Rumor has it that these are suppose to be dupes for the ever so popular Mac Pain Pot.

As you can see the packaging is very similar. The Maybelline one is a bit larger in packaging.
You are getting .14 oz of product in the Maybelline vs 0.17 with Mac. Pretty Decent amount I think. You are also paying about half the price of the Mac one too!

I find that using either you finger or a Synthetic Brush is best with these cream based shadows.

I had originally passed this up and went back for it because I own nothing like it in my collection. I would have hated for spring or summer to come and I needed this color and would have kicked myself later!

Left to Right:
Tough as Taupe
Pomegranate Punk
Too Cool
Fierce and Tangy
Edgy Emerald

Left to Right:
Painted Purple
Audacious Asphalt
Tenacious Teal
Bad to the Bronze

So I decided to test the quality of these swatches with a slight rub test:

You can see here none of he shadows budged at all. I was applying a decent amount of pressure and nothing at all.

I have played around with these for over a week or so and have to say they are great alone or as a base for any shadow. I found that there wasn't any creasing. I can not say that they last 24HR because well I do not sleep in my makeup or wear my makeup for longer than 8-10 hours a day.

I decided to put these through a different test. I know some may have oily eye lids and may have trouble working with cream based shadows. I decided to attempt to wash and rub all of the swatches off. I also wanted to see just how long lasting and durable they were to rubbing, dampness etc.

Rubbing the Dish detergent pretty hard here

You can see how most of the shadows have faded just a bit but still can see them pretty well.

Here on the opposite hand Bad to the Bronze didn't hold up so well but you can see how well these shadows hold up!

My Final Verdict:

Pros:
**A lot more affordable than Mac Pain pots
**Long Lasting
**Little to no Creasing
**Decent amount of product
**Affordable

Cons:
**Not enough Matte Shades for me
**A bit difficult to remove ( Get a Good Makeup Remover!)
**Some have reported issues when using these as a base and applying a powder shadow over it. Some shadows just wont seem to apply over them for some reason.
**I have also heard that if you apply too much will chip off like a cheap liquid liner does after it dries.

I personally have used them as a base with a shadow and haven't had any issues with it adhering or flaking off.

Overall I really like these shadows. I was seriously lacking any cream shadows in my collection. There are a total of 10 in this collection and I only have 9 because there is a GOld that just was a bit to similar in shade to the bronze for me and really wouldn't have use for it.
